By Road
Hastings is accessed from the North by the A21 from junction 5 on the M25 London orbital motorway. The A21 is a very busy route and is single carriage way for sections. Traffic congestion typically occurs at peak times around the major road works between Tonbridge and Pembury (dualing the road – due to open December 2016) and at the traffic lights at Flimwell. If coming from the East then you will follow the A28 or A259. If coming from the West then you will be using the A27 to Eastbourne and then the A259.

By Rail
For those with out car transport or arriving from aboard, Hastings Town has a main line railway station with regular rail links to Brighton, Eastbourne, Ashford International (for Eurostar), Gatwick Airport and London (from Victoria or Charing Cross). By Bus

The nearest main airport is Gatwick. There is an occasional rail service between Gatwick Airport and Hastings or you can get a National Express bus from the airport to central London and then a second bus to Hastings.
